EMbody Biosignals started as a concept, the idea was to found a start-up company to produce and market the technology produced by the founding director of EMbody – Prof Christopher James .  The technology used at EMbody is being developed by the founder working in the fields of information engineering, computational intelligence, machine learning, biomedical engineering, neurophysiology and biomedical signal processing.

In 2002 EMbody Biosignals was a finalist in a BBSRC funded Business Plan Competition and this spurred on the the concept and growth of EMbody.

Today, from bespoke algorithms for the analysis of brain signals for epilepsy, to the monitoring of behaviour in C. elegans, EMbody Biosignals has a number of products and offerings to suit various clients’ needs.
